The contribution of boron is essential given the fact that it takes part in the metabolism of nucleic acids, in the absorption and assimilation of cat ions, in the formation of pectin in the cell membrane, in the absorption of water, in the metabolism of sugars and in the synthesis of protein throughout the beginning of fruit formation. It also plays a part in the assimilation of phosphorous and in the plants synthesis of the vitamin B complex.
